New Year, New You

It's finally here ya'll. Another year has come and gone, and we're moving into 2015!! I always like to look back on the previous year and reflect on the ups, downs and how much I've learned and grown.

I think 2015 has been one of the hardest years so far - the most rewarding yet the most difficult. I graduated college in December, moved from Texas to Minnesota with my fiancé, got my first grown up job, and then I learned really quickly that growing up is a lot harder than people tell you. Now as the year is coming to an end, I realize how much I have learned about myself. I could not be more excited for this new year - I'm moving to Denver, and I finally get to marry my best friend! AHH!

Here's a four of my bigger resolutions for the new year!

Be a Healthier Version of Yourself | Bet you've never head that one before! We all know that this is the most popular new year's resolution for people of all ages. Everyone says they're going to loose weight, eat healthier, work out more, and drink less and yet two months into 2015, we loose our motivation and go back to our old ways. We all make this our new year's resolution, but we don't always set realistic expectations and goals for ourselves. I'm super pumped to have an amazing guest blogger, Logan Lester, to share some of her secrets to setting realistic goals and sticking to them! Stay tuned for that post! :)

Give Back | This isn't something that we usually think about when setting goals for a new year, but it is so important. It's important to remember that when we look back on the past year and see our struggles and hard times, we realize our blessings as well. Find a cause or charity to give back to. It could be something that hits home for you or your family, or just something you feel passionate about. Even if it's only $5 a month or an hour of your time, you will be making a huge difference in someone else's life, and that truly is a great feeling.

Stop Waiting | I am definitely guilty of this one this past year. I was waiting to see if my first job was right for me, waiting until it was warmer to go outside (which never really happened..), waiting to move back to Texas. I spent most of this past year waiting for things to change instead of just embracing where I am right now. I learned that taking a risk and going after what you want can be so rewarding!

Focus on YOU! | Spend time doing what makes you happy. I know we all get so busy with life, but make it a point to spend time focusing on you. Paint, sing, do yoga, go for a run - find something that allows you to find your happy place and let everything go. What is success, wealth, or health if you're not happy!

I would love to hear some of your new year's resolutions! :)

Here's to wishes, dreams, resolutions and the happiest of new years! Cheers, ya'll!

Baby It's Cold Outside | Winter Outfit

J.Crew Sweater | Scarf (From Off 5th - similar here & here) | Bag | Shoes (similar here)
J.Crew Earrings (similar here & here) | Watch | Cream Bangle | J.Crew Bracelet (similar here)

I got this elbow patch sweater, and I am definitely obsessed! It has been so cold lately, so I am all about throwing on a comfy, oversized sweater and scarf. For work, I'll dress it up a little more with statement earrings or a necklace, and it works perfectly!

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!! I can't believe it's already over, and it's already almost 2015! I can't wait to share some fun new things I've planned for the blog for this upcoming year - it's gonna be a great one, ya'll!
